New Years Announcements

As we welcome 2025, I’m excited to share updates on my latest projects and what’s on the horizon.

Now Available, developed in 2024:

  • Narrative Machines Podcast: A nonfiction series delving into how myths and narratives shape human perception, identity, and politics. Episode 1, “Foundations,” explores the central role of myth in modern society. Episode 2 will run in January. Listen here.

  • The Fallen Cycle Mythos Fiction Podcast: An audio adaptation of select mythos stories, featuring an immersive soundtrack. Forgotten, forgetful gods walk among us. Season 3 will begin in late Winter. Start listening.

  • Modern Mythology Story and System Podcast: Launching soon, this podcast explores how narratives and game mechanics influence each other, shaping the outcomes of our role-playing games. We’ll delve into storytelling techniques, game mechanics, and more. Stay tuned at ModernMythology.net.

  • Tales From When I Had A Face B&W edition. Still fully illustrated. $20 on Amazon. On Ayta’s seventh birthday, there came a knock on the door, and her namesake stood before her. Gran Ayta. Once a thing of myth, descended from legends. Now she seemed just a stooped old woman, but appearances can be deceiving.

Music Release:

  • Tomorrow’s Forgotten Relics EP: My new four-track studio EP, Lost in Myth, is nearing completion. All tracks are professionally mastered, and I’m finalizing the cover art. Expect a release on Bandcamp, Spotify, and YouTube soon. If there’s interest, I may consider a limited CD pressing. Explore the demo.

Upcoming Projects for 2025 and Beyond:

  • Genre Novels: I’m aiming to have two novels — one cyberpunk and one fantasy — ready for editorial by the end of 2025. These stories are based on our BLACKOUT 2054 and ongoing Witch-hunters RPG campaigns and are set within the Fallen Cycle universe. If the podcast garners enough following by 2026, these narratives may also be featured there.

  • Fallen Cycle RPG Development: Currently on hold at v1.1 of our playtest edition, I’m gaining more experience with various systems before advancing this project to its next stage.

  • New Music: I’m hopeful to record new music this year, but with the current slate, we’ll see how things progress.

Your engagement and feedback are invaluable. Whether through listening, reading, or participating in these projects, you play a crucial role in their development. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Here’s to a creative and inspiring 2025. I know some people out there are listening and reading, I’d love to hear from more of you. (And of course, reviews on my work always appreciated!)

Best regards,

James
